after grading on my xtar the battery was well below the advertised mAh. The Xtar VC8 Plus grades the batteries to find out their actual mAh. the Astrolux first off, has visual wrapping issues. see pics. worse in person. the actual mAh of the astrolux was 3846mAh instead of the 4500mah stated on website and the battery. big let down. I'm upset about the big difference in mah on this one. I expected more.

Battery looks and feels premium. Both ends have nickel-plated stainless steel contacts. It comes in a hard plastic case.
Cell weights 65.4g (0.14lb). I measured 3963 mAh for the real capacity which is 88% of the battery's nomimal capacity (4500mAh). Supported charging currents (according to VC8 charger) are: 250mA, 500mA, 1000mA, 2000mA and 3000mA.
The cell works great with powerful flashlights like the Astrolux DL01, thanks to it's high continuous discharge current of 28A.
In addition, this Astrolux battery holds the charge for an extended period while giving the highest level of performance.
