The mats are just that a nice looking flat cover mat for the front seats. They are held in place by elastic bands that fit around and under the seat frame.

        Hello VirginaJim, I installed my front seat covers in a 2018 Toyota Rav4 and also see a little twisting of the cover. I supposes since they are designed to just lay on top of the OEM seat covers there is going to be a little movement, but only when exiting the vehicle. I too did not receive installation instruction but to install slip the elastic bands over the seat and push the plastic tube through the area where the seat's back- rest and seat meet.. You could get creative and try Velcro strips for extra holding power but so far I have not found the need.

I know there are odd circular plastic devices that could act as anchor points, but I can't figure out the best way to use them.
